On September 23, 2018, the deadline to adapt the management systems certified in accordance with ISO 9001: 2008 to the new standard published in 2015 ends.

Before that date, organizations must adapt their systems to the new requirements, with special attention to the following:

Determination and understanding of the context in which the organization operates, as a basis for planning the quality management system.

Identification of the relevant stakeholders, their needs and expectations.

Preventive approach to the system and introduction of risk-based thinking.

Emphasis on the approach to processes and their interaction as a key element to achieve the expected results of the system.

Greater control over externalized processes

Integration of the system in all the processes of the organization and alignment with the strategic direction, emphasizing the importance of leadership.
