The new ISO 9001: 2015 Standard is published

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has published the new version of ISO 9001.





In line with the recently published ISO 14001: 20015, the new version of this ISO 9001 standard gives greater importance to management leadership. In addition, the following points should be noted.


It includes the concept of risk, not only limited to the negative effect of uncertainty, but also to take advantage of scenarios that may favor the achievement of results. It promotes greater efficiency in the management of the supply chain. It presents a simpler and clearer language to facilitate its application.


The main objective of the review is to facilitate the integration of this standard in the other Management Systems and make them more accessible to all types of organizations.


These will have a transition period of three years to migrate their quality management system to the new edition of the standard; In other words, before September 2018 they must have adapted their management systems to the new requirements of the standard.
